The Princess Royal took the salute on Horse Guards Parade on Sunday during the Armistice Day commemorations.
Princess Anne took the salute alongside the Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson.
More than 10,000 veterans marched past the Cenotaph and saluted the Princess, who was stood in front of Guards Memorial.
Earlier in the day, the Princess Royal laid a wreath at the cenotaph alongside the Duke of Kent and Prince Michael of Kent
The member of the Royal Family who receives the salute usually alternates each year.
Last year, the Earl of Wessex took the salute. Other royals to have taken on the responsibility include the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York.
