It’s been another busy week for Princess Anne as she supported several of the charities and organisations of which she is patron and then helped welcome another royal family to London. Settle down with a cuppa, you may need it. It’s time to try and keep up with Anne.
On February 26th, the Princess Royal attended a Youth Commission Conference in her role as Patron of the Learning and Work Institute which aims to help people reach their goals and fulfil their ambitions through education and skills enhancement. Anne addressed the forum which was looking at ways to improve learning opportunities for young adults.

On the same day, the Princess Royal visited another of her patronages, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, in London. Anne attended an Emergency Ultrasound Study Day where she was shown how the technology is used in different situations.
Later, the princess was accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, to an event in the City of London. The couple attended the Annual City Food Lecture at the Guildhall – Anne was there in her roles as Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers and Fourth Warden of the Fishmongers’ Company.
On February 27th, the Princess Royal was at Burlington House in Piccadilly for the Cardiovascular Disease Task Force Report Launch Conference being held by the British Nutrition Foundation. She is the foundation’s patron.
Then it was on to Glasgow where Anne, as patron of Medical Research Scotland, attended the ”Meet the Researcher” showcase where she did just that. The event was focused on different ways to share research in areas including medicine and chemistry. The day ended with the Princess Royal hosting a dinner at Buckingham Palace in her role as Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh.
On Thursday, Anne was present as the Queen welcomed the King and Queen of Jordan to Buckingham Palace as they made a governmental visit to London. Their son, Crown Prince Hussein, was also on the trip. Anne joined her mother as they greeted their royal guests at the Palace with the princess performing some rather spectacular curtsies to King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. The royals later enjoyed private talks and lunch.
The Princess Royal has carried out 68 engagements so far this year. Last year she was the busiest member of the House of Windsor, undertaking 518 engagements in total.
