Mike Tindall, the husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, has had surgery on his nose to correct issues with his breathing.

The 39-year-old grandson-in-law of The Queen broke his nose at least eight times with many instances coming during his 12-year rugby career. The first break was the result of the then five-year-old slamming his nose into a steering wheel of a dodgem car after the seatbelt came loose.

Mike’s corrected nose was visible at the Spring Wolf Run in East Sussex this weekend, and he posted one image from the event on his Twitter account. In the tweet, he remarked about the Spring Wolf Run, “Great day at the Wolf Run with @WillGreenwood and @NeilBack. Highlight was meeting Dave who is raising money for Parkinson’s his plan to do all 6 of the Wolf Runs!! Good luck .

For their part, the Wolf Run posted on their Instagram account how great it was to host rugby “legends” like Tindall, Neil Back and Will Greenwood who all took part in the 10-kilometre obstacle challenge on Saturday.

This is the second known operation to help improve his breathing with the latest surgery reportedly taking place just last week “to fine-tune his already improved nose,” explained an anonymous source involved with the Wolf Run to the Daily Mail.

It was in 2015 when the former England captain vowed to get his nose fixed. At the time, he admitted he needed to have it corrected as it was causing issues with his ability to breathe.

Tindall’s engagement to Zara was announced on 21 December 2010, and the couple wed in front of the Royal Family, Tindall family and friends on 30 July 2011 at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland. They have one daughter together, Mia, who was born on 17 January 2014. Mike and Zara are currently expecting their second child who is due in the early summer.
